BHS Athletic Association is an athletic fundraising association that’s been in existence for over 28 years. We help provide important stop-gap funding for a variety of needs within virtually all of the BHS athletic programs. Since 2014, the Burlington High School Athletic Association has donated well in excess of $150,000 to many different Burlington High School programs, including, but not limited to the following:
➤ $100,000 towards equipment for the weight room
➤ $20,000 towards the soccer field project
➤ $4,000 towards the pavilion project
➤ $5,000 towards Hudl (video software & equipment for programs)
➤ $6,500 towards repairs to the softball/baseball diamonds
➤ $5,600 towards new soccer goals and practice equipment
➤ $4,000 towards new track & field warm-ups
➤ $2,000 towards ventilation systems for the team locker rooms & weight room
➤ $32,072 towards Hudl
➤ $6,900 towards the wrestling mat hoist
➤ $4,995 towards the Dr. Dish All-Star Smart Model (basketball)
➤ $4,750 towards a treadmill for the weight room
➤ Wind screens for the tennis courts
➤ Fence around Jim Wanasek Field (Bushnell Soccer Field)
➤ Added speakers to Don Dalton Stadium
➤ Plus many, many more donations over the years
Every sport program has benefited from air purification systems in the team locker rooms and weight room and the purchase of Hudl, a computer software program that allows coaches and athletes to prepare through film study and film exchange. The Burlington High School Athletic Association is also the major sponsor of the Burlington High School Wall of Fame!
Our primary fundraiser is the Annual BHS Athletic Association Golf Outing.
MISSION STATEMENT
1. To provide stop gap funding for basic needs of any and all sports programs within the BHS Athletic program.
2. To provide a vehicle for communication and fellowship between the BHS athletic coaching staff and the community.
3. To assist with long term funding projects for the various high cost items that arise within the BHS Athletic program.
